A Dutch bank with trading operations across Europe, North America and Asia noticed that the costs associated with the use of market data workstations (Bloomberg terminals, LSEG Workspaces) had increased significantly. TCAM identified a substantial number of unused licences, and many workstations were found to be over-entitled with real-time exchange data. The analysis resulted in a 17% reduction in the bank’s global market data workstation costs.
The firm underwent an audit by one of Europe’s leading exchanges. TCAM was appointed to oversee the internal process and serve as the central point of contact for the auditor, who initially identified historical under-reporting of entitlements and data licenses, resulting in a preliminary claim. Through a thorough review and by challenging the exchange’s interpretation of its own data policies, we successfully achieved a 95% reduction in the claimed amount.
The broker offers an online trading platform with real-time data from major North American and European exchanges. To confirm compliance with contracts and data policies, TCAM assessed the firm's data distribution, client onboarding incl. “private investor” validation process, entitlement management, and monthly exchange reporting processes.
During implementation, the new Order & Execution Management Systems (OMS / EMS) needed access to about 100 data products from 50 exchanges and providers like NYSE, CME, and LSEG.
